Cool Item I: An Hermès Scarf

When it comes to my list of cool items, this is one of the hardest to pull off. The modern Hermès scarf measures 90 cm × 90 cm, weighs 65 grams and is woven from the silk of 250 mulberry moth cocoons, and as you would have guessed, you pay for every centimetre of that silk. As with all silk scarves, when buying an Hermès scarf you will want to choose earthy colours, blue/greys, off whites and blacks. This scarf is perfect to wear over a simple tee-shirt during summer or under a jacket in winter. Two scarf collections per year are released, along with re-prints of older designs and limited editions. Since 1937, Hermès has produced over 2,500 designs, with the horse motif ones being particularly famous and popular, all this means that there is plenty of choice, so choose.

The Hermès scarf can also be worn instead of jewellery, and unlike jewellery, the Hermès scarf can perform a few little tricks. Draping the scarf across your Pecs makes your shoulder/neck/ chest area look more built and toned. To hone this illusion, leave your scarf tails long and dangling and don’t bunch the fabric too close to your face. Just one loop in the front with a long scarf and you'll look like you spend a couple of days a week at the gym. All other light scarves do this too but an Hermès scarf makes it look amazing!

If you don’t have $500+ lying around to buy one new, look on eBay, you should be able to get one much cheaper, be sure that it is authentic and it has a box, after all those are some of the best parts.
