Rosemount Australian Fashion Week

Well with possibly the biggest fashion event on the Australian calendar on at the moment, it would be insane of me to not write a post about it, unfortunately it is impossible for me to provide images as every image I find that would make a worthwhile addition to the post is copyright protected. So I’m just going to have to write about what trends are coming out and the designers that require a Google.
TRENDS

• Loose fitting tee-shirts with scoop necks have appeared in the collections of Kirrily Johnston, Humility Couture and Premonition.
• Tailored shorts cut above the knee appeared in nearly every collection.
• Black and White stripes and patterns in KJ, Bassike and nANA jUDY.
• The colours of choice appear to be blue, grey, black and white.
• Vests, Sport coats and tailored shirts are all the rage from Saint Augustine Academy
• Stolen Girlfriends Club was all about prints and oversized shirts.
• Zambesi went monochromatic with black, white and grey and decided on sport coats with shorts.
• Kirrily Johnston went ethnic with harem-ish pants, large scarves and lots of black and white.
• Bassike also did some harem pants as well as some double denim and some pretty awesome shorts.
• Humility Couture did some amazing loose fitting shirts and vests, their skinny acid wash jeans look like they will be a summer hit also.
• Premonition was all about prints and shirts with bowties, not really my style.
• UNnaked once again did black and white with some grey, including some nice tailored shorts and some shoes that I am currently looking for a stockist to buy them from.
• Mawlai is doing the same scoop neck with tailored shorts, but is using a nice coral colour.
• nANA jUDY is all about low plunging singlets and I will be buying them all as its very ksubi and very casual cool with ya tits out. Their distressed denim and leather jackets are cool also.
• a.concept was very conceptual, but once again low necklines, lots of black and a slim silhouette.

So basically, the main things are scoop neck tee-shirts, tailored shirts, sport coats, tailored shorts, singlets and vests. as most Australian brands are relatively unknown I suggest giving them a Google for their stockists as there is a lot of ready to wear stuff from these collections that we should be buying, not only for ourselves but to support these struggling designers who put their heart and soul into each collection.
I know you can buy nANA jUDY from Jack Clothing in Subiaco, Zambesi from Wasteland,
And Stolen Girlfriends Club from Subway DC.
The rest you can Google but don’t expect the new collections to be on the website!
